Redbank - 25 km west of Brisbane.

Redbank is a suburb approximately 25 kilometres (16 miles) south-west of Brisbane CBD, the capital of Queensland, Australia.

Its local government area is the City of Ipswich.

Redbank should not be confused with the adjoining suburb of Redbank Plains to the south.

At the 2011 Australian Census the suburb recorded a population of 1,605.

The origin of the suburb name is from a description of the area provided by Major Edmund Lockyer whilst exploring in a boat along the Brisbane River who noted the "red banks" adjacent to the river.

The Redbank - Bundamba Loop Line comprised a series of railway sidings serving coal mines in the area.
